During the summer of 2018 we were very happy to move into a new modular building on the same site as our old one. This change has opened up many possibilities in terms of the service we can offer and as these changes materialise we will keep you posted via our website.
During the summer term 2015 we were invited to join an exciting project which aims to boost children’s communication and language skills. Here are the main strategies being used:
Networking opportunities to share good practice and ideas….we came away with a great many ideas, several of which are in the photographs
Support for high quality story sack use…a local reception teacher visited to share good practice and ideas with using stories and props.
Support for high quality ‘tuff’ spot use…a tuff spot is a builders cement mixing tray which is great for lots of messy play and small world environments.
Inspiring writing ….we were excited by a visit from children’s author Steve Smallman
Making good book choices…how to identify high quality books on the market and their particular strengths.
As we progress through the project we will keep you up to date on the changes we make.
