Cooking

We recently achieved our Bronze Award with Modeshift STARS. This is the national schools awards scheme that is established to recognise schools that have demonstrated excellence in supporting cycling, walking and other forms of sustainable travel.

One of the many exciting activities we have carried out recently has been baking traffic light biscuits. This activity along with some road safety rhymes helped children to begin to understand about road safety. Don't they look yummy!

NHS Supervised Toothbrushing Scheme

'Tooth decay is the most common reason for hospital admission for children aged 6-10 years-old. Whilst it is largely preventable it still remains a serious public health problem. PHE data shows that in 2017, almost a quarter of 5-year-olds started school with tooth decay.'

As part of our daily routine in pre-school we carry out supervised toothbrushing sessions with the children (with parents permission only).
