The NHS run a funded Supervised Toothbrushing Scheme with the aim of preventing tooth decay and to build healthy habits. This is achieved by having children brush once a day under staff supervision using fluoride toothpaste. We follow strict hygiene guidelines during toothbrushing and cleaning and storing the equipment.
The aim of the program is to complement, rather than replaces, twice-daily brushing at home and the scheme provides training, and all the resources needed.
